How often should I service my system?
Twice a year — cooling in spring, heating in fall. Skipping annual service voids most manufacturer warranties and typically shortens equipment life by 3–5 years.
Is a bigger AC better?
No — an oversized system short-cycles: it cools the air fast but doesn't run long enough to remove humidity. You end up with a cold, clammy house and higher bills. Right-sized is what matters.
How long should a new system last?
12–18 years for AC and heat pumps, 15–25 years for gas furnaces, when maintained. Skipping maintenance can cut that in half.
Do you finance?

What size system do I need?
The only honest answer is "we need to do the load calc." A Manual J calculation considers your envelope, windows, insulation, duct system, and orientation. Sizing rules-of-thumb (like "500 sqft per ton") are wrong more often than they're right.
Can I replace my outdoor unit without the indoor unit?
Sometimes, but usually not — matched systems are engineered to work as a set, and mixing generations often violates the manufacturer warranty. We'll tell you honestly if it makes sense in your case.
What about R-410A vs the new refrigerants?
2025 saw the industry transition to A2L refrigerants (R-32 and R-454B). Existing R-410A systems can still be repaired for years; new installs use the new refrigerants. Ask us about the details.
Do you offer duct cleaning?
Only when it's actually needed — visible mold, post-renovation debris, or persistent odor. Routine duct cleaning is usually a waste of money.
